Academics

Westgate Christian School has existed since 1981 to train and encourage young people to grow spiritually and excel academically.
Strong Academics has always been a hallmark of WCS. Last year, our students in our secondary scored on their Stanford Achievement Testing scores that placed them on average above the 90th percentile on average. In 2013, 100% of our Seniors scored above the benchmark ACT score for English Composition, with more than half meeting all four benchmarks. (by contrast, the national standards were 64% and 26% on average respectively).

While we are thankful for our high academic standard, which provides our students with strong preparation for college, we as Christian Educators are constantly aware of the need to hold ourselves to the standard of excellence of which our Lord Jesus Christ is most worthy: "That ye may approve things that are excellent, that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ" (Philippians 1:10, KJV).

Home Educators

Home Educators

WCHEA was started as a new initiative back during the 2011-2012 school year. It was, and continues to be, a major addition to our developing outreach to home educators. We're especially excited for new opportunities for home schoolers in the upcoming 2014-15 school year.
