Discovering Our World

K3 and K4 students are filled with wonder about the world around them. They are eager for new experiences and ready to make connections. Our preschool program focuses on introductions–creating gateways to concepts to build on throughout elementary school.

We focus on learning through direct instruction times combined with fun activities, learning games, songs, rhymes, and play to help reinforce concepts they’re learning.

Our preschool program emphasizes phonemic awareness and letter recognition as we lay a strong foundation for reading readiness. We also implement introductory math activities to develop number recognition, sorting, counting, and patterning.

Additionally, our curriculum incorporates manners and the development of good habits. History and science are also introduced through fun, hands-on activities.

Each academic discipline incorporates a biblical worldview. But your preschool student will also have a scheduled time to learn Bible truths. Through this teaching, our prayer is that God will become real and approachable to our youngest students. We want them to begin to grasp His love for them.

Preschool Curriculum

We primarily use BJU Press in our preschool classrooms.

In preschool, our focus is sound and letter recognition using phonics and engaging approaches. This is the first step in our goal toward reading readiness.

Preschool math emphasizes counting, number recognition, sorting, patterning, and all through engaging math activities. A firm grasp of these basics ensures a successful kindergarten experience.

Science & History

Preschool is a time for discovering new ideas and diving into new experiences. It’s a perfect time to introduce basic themes and concepts related to science and history.  This prepares them for more focused study in elementary school.

God’s Word is critical for students of every age. We teach all our disciplines through a biblical worldview, but we also have scheduled time to teach biblical truth daily.  We want them to begin to see a picture of who God is in their lives.

Key Goals for K3 & K4
