Students in grades 5th-12th are invited to participate in this summer's sports workouts. These workouts are for interested students and don't require that you've played on a team before. Welcome to Westgate Christian School in Spartanburg, SC!

K3-12th Grade

“Preferring One Another”

We so often say that Westgate Christian School is a family. No doubt a culture and spirit of family exists here, and it’s something we want to continue to cultivate and not take for granted. Our 2023/2024 school theme is “Preferring One Another”.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Romans 12:10

Families are bound together in acceptance, courtesy, and love.  Love has been defined as wanting, thinking, and doing what is best for another. Love IS preferring someone above yourself, giving greater weight to their needs and desires. Preferring one another in love requires a degree of self-denial and self-sacrifice. It’s not about me.

Our children are growing up in a “me first” world that can be harsh and unforgiving. But this is not God’s way. He calls His people to show forth His love and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

This school year, we want to encourage our students to think and act kindly toward each other, to be considerate of others’ needs before their own. God wants to love others through them, and our prayer this year is that our students and faculty will embrace this calling in their lives in a deeper, lasting way.

Have questions about WCS? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch or schedule a tour.

Our preschool program for three and four year old students, seeks to provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment where children learn and grow academically, socially, and spiritually. Our teachers are dedicated to guiding student development in these key areas.

The elementary years are a time of rapid growth and development. Our teachers continue to focus on the care and growth of the whole child while, meeting increasingly challenging academic goals to prepare them for secondary education.

Middle School

Our middle school includes sixth through eighth graders. As they navigate these transition years, our teachers and faculty engage with them on several levels. While academic rigor increases, so does the development of study skills, spiritual growth, and social maturity.

High School

Our high school includes grades nine through twelve. At this level, students are challenged not only to think for themselves but also to evaluate our world according to biblical standards. It’s not just about what they know but about what they can effectively communicate to others and implement in the “real world”.
